This custom PC builds on the top-of-range Intel configuration in ASUS's Agent Computer guide, then steps up the processor, storage and power. The graphics card, motherboard, cooler, power supply and case all come from ASUS's ROG and TUF Gaming lines, and ASUS lists the RTX 5090 + Maximus Z890 pairing for its most demanding "Homelab / AI Nodes" use case.

Graphics: ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5090 32GB OC Edition

The TUF Gaming RTX 5090 OC Edition (TUF-RTX5090-O32G-GAMING) carries 32GB of GDDR7 memory, a factory overclock, a three-fan cooler and Aura Sync RGB. It targets maximum settings at high resolutions and refresh rates, and accelerates 3D rendering, video and effects work. For AI, 32GB of VRAM lets larger language and image models run entirely on one card.

Processor: Intel Core Ultra 9 285K

The Core Ultra 9 285K is Intel's flagship Core Ultra desktop processor, with 36MB of cache and up to 5.7GHz on the LGA1851 socket. It is unlocked, and on a Z890 board supports manual tuning, with the headroom to drive the RTX 5090 alongside streaming, rendering and multitasking.

Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus Z890 Hero

The ROG Maximus Z890 Hero is ASUS's high-end Z890 board, with DDR5, PCIe 5.0 graphics and storage, and Wi-Fi 7. It provides enthusiast-grade power delivery for the 285K and room for future upgrades.

Memory: 64GB DDR5 6000

Two 32GB DDR5 modules at 6000 MT/s give 64GB of memory, matching ASUS's reference build. That is ample for gaming while streaming, large creative projects and AI tools that use system memory alongside the GPU.

Storage: Samsung 9100 PRO 2TB (PCIe 5.0)

The Samsung 9100 PRO 2TB is a PCIe 5.0 x4 NVMe M.2 SSD rated up to 14,700 MB/s, for very fast boot, load and file-transfer times, and quick loading of large AI models.

Cooling: ASUS ROG Ryuo IV 360 ARGB

The ROG Ryuo IV 360 ARGB uses a 360mm radiator and a 6.67-inch AMOLED display on the pump, which can show system stats or custom visuals. It supports Intel LGA1851.

Power: ASUS ROG Thor 1600W Titanium III EVO

The ROG Thor 1600W is 80 Plus Titanium certified, ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 compliant, with a magnetic OLED display. It is 600W above the 1000W ASUS specifies for one RTX 5090, and is the PSU class ASUS specifies for two.

Chassis: ASUS TUF Gaming GT502 Horizon ARGB

The TUF Gaming GT502 Horizon is a black case with panoramic tempered glass and four 120mm ARGB fans, giving the RTX 5090 and 360mm radiator room to breathe.
